Brief description of your issue

Hello, would like to install/update firefox. Winget is only providing outdated binary for my (lt-LT) locale. If i try to upgrade - winget proceeds to install en-US (current) over localised version.

Steps to reproduce

I get outdated binary if i do this: winget install mozilla.firefox --locale lt-LT
I get en-US over lt-LT if i do this: winget upgrade -r
send help.

Expected behavior

I expected current/upgraded firefox version 134.0.1.

Actual behavior

Firefox version 129.0.2 gets installed. Or en-US (up to date) version gets installed if i upgrade instead.

  1. For package identifier Mozilla.Firefox, there's no it or it-IT localized installer file available. Hence if you explicitly configure --locale it-IT, you'll get the so-called-latest version 129.0.2.
  2. There might be some "fallback" policy for WinGet. Although you prefer it-IT locale, but you haven't explicitly configured with winget config. It will automatically fallback to the "default" en-US locale.

That does clear things up for me, thank you. However im confused as to how should i go about installing/upgrading firefox packages (for lt-LT locale) if "winget" source only has version 129.0.2 (or not current). Only other source it is showing me is "msstore". Was i wrong for using default "winget" source? Or its simply because we dont like firefox around these parts?

I can't figure out how previous contributors & volunteers get those version-related static links for downloading installer. I go to the official download page and I can only get encrypted dynamic URL from there.
